I’ve been in the building industry for over two decades, having started my journey in 2004. Like many tradesmen, my path into construction wasn’t exactly conventional—I met someone in a pub who worked in the trade, and after a conversation over a pint, I knew it was something I wanted to pursue. At just 18 years old, I didn’t have a clear idea of how to get started, but that conversation set me on a path that would eventually lead to launching my own business.
Fast forward to 2018, and after years of hands-on experience, I took the plunge and started Andrew Smith Building Contractors. With a solid reputation for quality craftsmanship, reliability, and customer-focused service, my team and I have been proudly serving homeowners and businesses ever since.

While I run the business, I don’t do it alone. I work alongside two skilled tradesmen who are always on-site with me, operating on a subcontracting basis.
